چکیده

-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is multicarrier technique for high data transmission rate commonly used in 4G communication these days also used in digital video broadcasting (DVB) and many more application when ever high data transmission rate is required. The main problem of OFDM is high Peak-to-average power ratio because OFDM is highly sensitive to non-linear region of high power amplifier. Many more technique has been proposed and implemented to reduce Peak to Average power ratio and bring PAPR to desired level. Most commonly used techniques are partial transmitted sequence, selective mapping, clipping, tone injection and many more. This paper will deal about reduction in Peakto-average power ratio using modified selective mapping (SLM) and clipping technique to ensure that OFDM system performance is improved. Index term: Modified SLM (selective mapping), clipping, bit-error-rate, OFDM __________________________________________________*****_________________________________________________

Combination of Modified Clipping Technique and Selective Mapping for PAPR Reduction

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) offers high data rate and supports high data rate applications. Although OFDM has advantages over traditional communication models but it frequently suffers from PAPR. PAPR is concerned area in OFDM from two decades and vast amount of research is carried out in literature. Selective Mapping remains as effective PAPR reduction approach and in pro...

An Efficient Scheme for PAPR Reduction of OFDM based on Selected Mapping without Side Information

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) has become a promising method for many wireless communication applications. However, one main drawback of OFDM systems is the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). Selected mapping (SLM) is a well-known technique to decrease the problem of high PAPR in OFDM systems. In this method, transmitter is obliged to send some bits named side informati...

PAPR Reduction in OFDM Systems using Adaptive Active Constellation Extension Algorithm

OFDM Signal combines the multiple symbol representations method with a signal clipping method using a new hybrid PAPR reduction technique. The amplitude of the signal is limited to the threshold value using clipping method which considering the signal must be interpolated before A/D conversion and also different filtering technique has been proposed. The clipping technique has the subcarriers h...

Reduction of PAPR in SFBC-OFDM System Using Clipping and Differential Scaling

Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) is a well-known technique for transmission of high rate data over broadband frequency-selective channels that mitigates intersymbol interference (ISI) caused by the delay spread of wireless channels. Space Frequency Block Coded technique (SFBC) is a spatial diversity technique used to achieve full transmission diversity with higher capacity. The...
